Ahh, spring engagement sessions… there’s nothing like them.  The fresh new blooms in the air add a touch of romance that you could never force.  Add an adorable and loving couple to the equation? What more could a gal ask for?

When we had to reschedule this season due to almost freezing rain, (40 degree days are the anti-romantic side effect of spring), I was worried we’d miss out on these blooms.  Call it serendipity or perhaps nature on our side, we swapped a few days and were blessed with the most stunning evening to wander around for Austin & Emily’s Harrisburg, Pennsylvania engagement portraits.

I’ve known Emily since she was just a kid and have gotten to watch her grow up.  That sweet little girl is now a wonderful bride-to-be.

When she asked me to be the one to photograph her wedding I couldn’t have been more honored.

It means I get an up-close view of the way these two adore each other.

It won’t take long for you to scroll through images and see it for yourself.  Austin and Emily have this ease when they’re together.  Their laughter is never forced and they have the bright and shiny kind of endearment… the kind that makes you happy just looking at them.

I loved my evening strolling around the capitol of Harrisburg for their engagement session getting to know Austin and watching how he cares for Em.

TLDR: it was an 11/10 evening :)
