LAUREN R
SWANN

Perhaps it was the unintended results of spending a childhood around my grandfather’s photo studio, or thereafter the dragging of my own digital camera in tow to all life’s events (like any true child of the 90s)… and definitely the gentle nudging of calling by my now-husband… finding the beauty in life’s moments — big and small, is one of my most favorite things.

I am forever grateful for a medium that allows me to showcase joy, beauty, and legacy through my own perspective… and when I can throw in a well-timed Ted Lasso reference, I’m pretty much Gucci.

That, and really, photography found me.

Savoring memories to revisit over and over again is a type of magic I just. can’t. quit.

Often referred to as an old soul, I think that’s why I find a photograph so compelling.  It's transportive, allowing you to relive a moment again.

I draw my inspiration from

like having three littles grow up right before your eyes.  Becoming a mama has changed the way I approach a wedding in the best way: as a preserver of moments, because I know how fast they flee.

Nothing shows you how fleeting moments are...

Truly and honestly. I wouldn't be the person I am today without Morgan's support, go-getter attitude, and our #maritaldisputes.  He's my high school sweetheart and the best decision I've ever made in this life.

He's the one who makes
 my dreams happen.

my husband

If only I could keep them alive. #RecoveringPlantKiller in the house.  I must admit though, Monet was on to something when he said he must always, always have flowers.

My affinity for flowers
 has no bounds.

floral goodness

From adventuring internationally in New Zealand & Switzerland, to local domestic destinations I'm always drawn to the people I've met and places I've explored.  You'll find me craving to be plane bound often always.

A change in perspective is always inspiring.

exploring new places

Outside of the photography world, I'm constantly looking to create: stretching those muscles.  Find me exploring interiors and coming up with projects to transform our 1900s home, creating floral arrangements,  or designing for other creatives.

I've got 99 ideas and they're all good, hon.

creative endeavours

The only jokes in my repertoire include puns & play on words. I do laugh at basically everything though, so where I lack cleverness, I’ll at least make you feel like *you’re* a comedian!

Witty banter, of which I possess none.

I'm always in awe of
