If you were to name a few of the things our work is known for, color would probably be at the top of the list.

Which is exactly why Toby and Brandan’s black and white wedding at The Oaks Waterfront Hotel in Easton, Maryland felt so uniquely special.

From the very beginning, Toby had a vision. While many couples spend months selecting a wedding color palette, she dreamed up something much simpler—and much bolder. Every guest dressed in black.

And they delivered.

The result was timeless, sophisticated, and unlike anything we’ve photographed before. Against the backdrop of the Eastern Shore’s waterfront views, the monochromatic palette created an atmosphere that felt both elegant and deeply personal to the two of them.

But as fun as this little detail was, what I’ll remember most about this Oaks Waterfront Hotel wedding wasn’t the aesthetic.

It was—

The way Toby’s sister immediately teared up the moment she saw her little sister as a bride. “And to think you never cry!” Toby laughed through her own emotions.

One of my favorite moments of the day was the ketubah signing and ceremony, lovingly led by Toby’s brother-in-law (and fellow Brandon, which admittedly kept us all on our toes). There was something incredibly meaningful about having family play such an important role in the celebration. It made the ceremony feel personal, heartfelt, and deeply rooted in the people who know and love these two best.

… and of course, no celebration would be complete without a few beautiful details.

Kate Campbell & Lauren Corrigan Events transformed the wedding cake into a true work of art, proving once again that some cakes deserve their own moment in the spotlight.

The couple’s beloved pup, Frank, who made a memorable appearance and quickly stole the hearts of everyone in attendance.

As the sun dipped over the waterfront and cocktail hour gave way to dancing, the party officially began.

And what a party it was.

The dance floor stayed packed from the first song until the very last. Family and friends showed up ready to celebrate, and there was never a shortage of laughter, hugs, happy tears, or questionable dance moves (which, in my professional opinion, are always the best kind).

At its core, Toby and Brandan’s wedding wasn’t about a color palette—even one as striking as an all-black dress code.

It was about gathering the people who have shaped their lives and celebrating the beginning of a new chapter together.
