There’s something undeniably magical about a sunrise in Annapolis — the way the first light of day gently nudges the sky awake, the quiet streets whispering as people begin to awake, and the golden glow dancing off historic brick and quiet water.
When Diego & Lyndsay decided this would be the spot for their sunrise Annapolis engagement session, I was giddy… and for good reason — this one was just that kind of morning.
From the moment we arrived downtown, the prettiest sunrise was already beginning to spread across the horizon. You can’t get a glow like that just anywhere… it’s the kind photographers dream of. As the sun slowly climbed, Diego & Lyndsay met each other with ease — like the rest of the world (and most importantly me!) faded into the background. They’re naturals in front of the camera.
They have it… you know that thing that couples who know each other so well share. It’s a blend of genuine joy and effortlessness. It was evident in every stolen glance and shared laugh. Whether it was walking hand in hand along the Annapolis docks or stealing a quiet moment near those brilliant Annapolis buildings… it was that kind of session that makes me smile just thinking about it.
What I love about Lyndsay and Diego is how easy it is to get along with them. They’re unhurried, grateful, and just so happy to be here together. You could see it in their eyes, hear it in their laughter, and absolutely feel it from behind the lens.
Sessions like this — where the light, the location, and the most importantly the couple all align — are such a gift. And while the sunrise was breathtaking on its own, what truly made this morning unforgettable was capturing Diego & Lyndsay as they are… unguarded, joyful, and so clearly excited for what’s ahead.
Can April come quickly, please?
I’m counting down until their Historic London Town wedding this spring. It’s going to be an absolute delight.
Clearly I could blab about these two for ages, but please, enjoy a peek at this gorgeous Downtown Annapolis sunrise engagement session. I’m so very thrilled to have been a part of this chapter in their story.

Don’t they just make you so dang happy!?
