It finally feels like summer!
When I first started photographing weddings and engagement sessions, I spent a lot of time in Annapolis. Honestly, there are worse places to build a business. Over the years, I photographed proposals, mini sessions, and engagement sessions all throughout Annapolis, which means I’ve become especially familiar with one of my favorite local locations: Quiet Waters Park.
Between the wooded trails, open fields, waterfront views, and quiet corners tucked throughout the park, there’s an incredible amount of variety in one location. It’s one of my favorite spots for couples looking for outdoor engagement photos in Annapolis.
But this session was even more meaningful.
Grace and Tommy had their first date at Quiet Waters Park. It was where their story began, making it the perfect place to return and celebrate this next chapter together. There’s something special about photographing a couple in a location that already holds history for them. It served as a special nod to memories from the very beginning of their relationship.
And these two made my job easy.
Grace and Tommy are the kind of people you instantly enjoy spending time with. They’re thoughtful, kind, and clearly adore one another. Watching them interact throughout the evening, it was easy to see why they fell in love in the first place.
We spent the evening exploring the park, soaking up the warm weather, and finding some of my favorite corners of Quiet Waters. Tommy also graciously tolerated my accidental request that he sit on what turned out to be a very sloped hill. Thankfully, he’ll only have to forgive me once—I promise not to make him do that next May.
After spending the evening with these two, I’m even more excited for their wedding celebration next spring at The Oaks Waterfront Hotel with Katie Parks Events. If their engagement session was any indication, their wedding day is going to be filled with joy, laughter, and so much love.
Grace and Tommy, thank you for letting me be part of this season. I can’t wait to celebrate alongside you next year.
