Our Month in Photos — March Madness & Blossoming

Somehow I kicked off the month of March in Mexico 5 seconds ago and I’ve now been transported to April.  How on earth did that happen so fast?

Is that the real reason why they call it March Madness?!

Forget the basketball bracket that I am sorelyyyyy losing, and say hello to the mayhem of the month before(?, of?) spring.

Aforementioned mayhem included:

  • Soaking in too much sun on my back in Mexico
  • Photographing a fun shoot for a dear florist friend in her studio
  • Snuggling with my friend’s fresh new squishy & wonderful baby
  • Finally tracking down a copy of Baltimore Weddings to see this sweet feature
  • Begrudgingly dying our toilet green to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day for my 5 year old
  • Plus two trips to DC & stopping to see Morgan at work on our way home
  • Taught my kids to play Old Maid (which made my nostalgia hit on all cylinders)

Said mayhem may be challenging at times, but gosh this month was oh, so sweet.  We had a lot of days full of making memories, and I’m so grateful.

In fact, I hope I never forget Reese’s awe and wonder at seeing the Washington DC monuments for the first time.

… or the way that Sully has decided to add the word “also” to every sentence.  My heart melted the other night when he was trying to get out of trouble and said “Mom, I love you the most alsoooo.”  Almost three year olds… their cuteness can pretty much make up for anything can’t it!?

… or the fact that Quinn is as feisty as ever.  She spent a solid 10 minutes looking at me, shaking her head no, and then bursting out into a fit of giggles.  We’re in trouble with this one folks ;)

May April be just as full <3

Happy April <3

Wife, mama, wielder of light & joy, and capturer of moments.  I thrive off of conversation and genuine connection.  In between wrangling our kiddos, and hanging my husband, you'll find me dreaming up my next idea or creative endeavour.  It's these things that culminate to give my imagery a warmth and joy to them - the greatest compliment I could receive.

THE JOURNAL

Lauren grew up spending her summers at the shore, and when she and Nick got together, she couldn't help but introduce him, too!  Their session in New Jersey was filled with gorgeous light, sweet smiles, and so much love & laughter.

Connor and Alli's wedding celebration was full of lush florals, gorgeous details, and a whole lot of joy.  Their first look was one of the most sacred moments I've witness on a wedding day... filled with so much delight and love!

One of my greatest inspirations comes from exploring and the California coast fulfills that wanderlust like nothing else.  Anytime I have rolling hills and oceanside views, I'm in heaven.

Nate & sofi, baltimore Maryland

She's the ultimate hypewoman. I was pretty nervous about being photographed and Lauren made everything fun and flexible. Honestly, I can't imagine the day without her and her team. They were wonderful and hearing from Lauren was always a genuine delight.
