Hi friends! Welcome back to another rendition of Office Chats with Lauren, where I share my opinions (of which there are many!) about all things wedding, what’s inspiring me, trends and tips for couples in the middle of wedding planning process us.
Now, today we are talking about something that is most noticeable for photographers and videographers. Might I be dramatic and say it’s something that keeps us up at night? I’ll refrain ;)
Today’s topic is ceremony set up… and the positioning that can totally change your wedding photos.
The RSVPS have come in, you know how many seats you need, but did you think about the chairs with fit in the space?
The top priority is thinking through where your guests are seated so that they can have the best experience possible. However, whenever possible (churches with pews are obviously exempt!), we want to create an aisle along the sides in addition to the center aisle. This gives me the pathway I need to capture all the angles of your wedding.
Giving me this flexibility gives you —
the groom seeing his bride for the first time
The brides seeing her groom for the first time
The couple in the very traditional exchanging of vows
… and most importantly, sweet grandpa because we need photos of him too!
Giving me a side alley allows my team to capture your guests enjoying themselves in the ceremony, too.
So give me an alley to work with and you get all the fun things.
