Friends, are you in for a real treat with this gorgeous southern-inspired Chesapeake Bay Beach Club wedding! From their vows to their florals, to their contagious smiles, Ben and Anna’s wedding day was incredible!

Ben and Anna first met in college, and according to his best man, Ben fell for her fast!  Though after they first met they spent some time first as friends, they always had a spark! They dated their last semester at UVA and have been inseparable ever since.

So it only made sense that their wedding had nods towards their time together down south.  Their table numbers were listed with streets on campus, with their sweetheart table located at the Rotunda accompanied by the most stunning floral garland of peonies! They also followed the tradition of burying the bourbon, which they toasted with their bridal party!  … and those were just a few of the fun details!!

However, the best part of Ben and Anna’s Chesapeake Bay Beach Club wedding was by far their ceremony.  First of all, Anna’s grandfather was the officiant for their special day.  It made it so much fun to hear his antidotes as well as for someone so important to them to be the one that pronounced them as husband and wife!  Ben’s grandmother also blessed them with a traditional Scottish tradition of hand-fasting.  This is where the concept of tying the knot comes from, so it was the perfect fit!  Secondly, they each promised the funniest and most sentimental vows I’ve ever heard…

He promised: to raise a dog together… and then kids!

(As you can imagine the pause he put between the statements caused quite a bit of laughter amongst their friends and families!)

She promised: to always be his partner… especially on the dance floor!

Anna fulfilled her promise a little sooner than Ben did his, but either way, they had a blast on the dance floor celebrating the best day of their lives! There couldn’t have been a more joyful and fun day.
