I often joke that I’m only sentimental when it comes to photos. There aren’t too many things in my life that I would have a hard time getting rid of… but photos… they’re the things I could hoard.
It’s because photos have super powers as my 2.5 year old would say.
One of the powers of a photo is that it transports you back in time — exactly to how you were feeling in that moment.
This fall, we were blessed with these photos of our family from the amazing Courtney Dueppengiesser. She gave me the gift of getting to be a part of these memories instead of trying to orchestrate them myself. (Though, admittedly, we take pretty good remote-control/tripod photos! lol!).
Our kids are at precious ages… almost 5, 2.5, and 1. They’re growing so fast and I know I could blink and they’d all be headed to middle school. So instead, I’m soaking up chunky cheeks, giggles, the leg rolls. It’s just pure delight.
Now don’t get me wrong, photoshoots with three kids, especially taken during nap time on Day Light’s Saving Day, did not run entirely smoothly. I think that’s what makes it perfect though <3
As a surprise to no one, I had the hardest time narrowing down these images to find my favorites. #PhotoHoarder But I wanted to share a little peek and to catalog these images here on my real-life journal.
