When I initially started this series, I created it to be a creative outlet for myself. So often other photographers get trapped into only creating art through their photography. That’s awesome, but if that was my only source of creativity being unleashed, I think I might get burnt out after a while. So as a part of creating boundaries in my business, I decided to set aside special time each week to do something that fuels me, and share it here! Thus far I’ve lettered things, created outfits, shared recipes, and a few other designs. Some of my projects take more than the allotted time that I give myself, so I don’t post every week, but today I’m excited to share one of the latest projects that I completed with the instruction of my sweet friend, Anna.
Anna is an amazing artist who uses encaustics as her medium. When we were in Charleston, we each got the opportunity to learn from her and create our own encaustic! I hope you enjoy what I came up with… boy was that good for the soul!
