After sitting on these images from a Meridian House DC wedding inspiration last summer for far too long, I decided it was about time to let them see the light of day.
Because some days as an east coast wedding photographer… the job is tougher than others.
For as many days as you’re photographing beautiful people, immaculate details, candid moments, inspired designs… you’re also stuck behind a computer desk at least 10 times more. It’s not a complaint – it’s an important part of my job. In fact, I really only make mention, to let you know that this is not a normal way that I spend a Thursday.
However, last summer I had the chance to take in my friend Laura’s brain child for Develope Academy. She designed a stunning editorial that was full of color — her signature.
The event took place at the Meridian House in the heart of DC. Home to a treasured wedding venue, Max Owens (florist extraordinaire!) and Laura created a beautiful design lead by the gals at Develope Academy. The creative team behind this event was incredible.. it won’t take long for you to see!
Modern color juxtaposed the historic library in a way that melded perfectly.
… it was a perfect way to spend a Thursday.
Because sometimes you just have to exercise a creative muscle, surround yourself with people who “get” the strange and wonderful world you operate in, and make something beautiful.
I hope you enjoy a little peek at my version of this Meridian House DC Wedding inspiration.
