This time last week, I was making my way home from Zach & Jordan’s Washington DC fall engagement session. To say it was dreamy is a bit of an understatement.
Now, if you know me, you know that sunrise is the only way I love to do a session on the Mall in DC. It’s the time of day that there are *limited* people nearby, and you don’t have to dodge anyone but runners and other photographers! Haha!
Plus the sunrises there, even on cloudy days, have so much magic to them. It feels like the only time the busy little city takes a slower pace.
It’s that exact thing that drew Jordan in, as she spent her quarantine days running along the mall! Lots of mornings she’d take it all in: the monuments, the ducks in water, the serene scenery that popped itself into the city.
I always encourage couples to find a place that feels meaningful to them for their engagement photos, and that’s what made this little DC nook the perfect fit for Zach, Jordan, and the real start of the show: Miss Nala.
To say I had a blast with this crew is putting it lightly. They’re hilarious, sweet, and so fun together! I’m already counting down the days until I get to see them again! (Thankfully, I only have to wait until next weekend for Zach’s sister, Meg’s wedding! Eek!)
Zach & Jordan’s Washington DC Fall engagement session took place exactly one year before their wedding day, and it was the perfect way to celebrate!
So without further ado, enjoy a peek into our morning together.
Happy friday, friends!
