Well folks, if you’ve been around the blog for any length of time at all, you know that I like to change things up quite a bit in terms of it’s appearance!  I see something that I love and that I want to implement and just do it!  Then I realize a week or two later that I’m not so thrilled about it anymore and that I want to mix it up again!  Well, I’ve officially decided… NO more!  I, as a photographer and a business owner, want to be more intentional about what I’m doing.  The reason why I’m even here and doing this job that I love is because of honesty and listening.  I feel like right now, I’m not doing my best to be authentic and to be myself… mainly because I’m still trying to figure all of that out!  Because this business is based on me, I have to be actually exhibiting things that are about me!  The design choices I’ve been making have been based on appearances and not based off of me and my heart.

A few weeks ago, I was asked to contribute to an online marketing and branding tips book!  It was absolutely brilliantly written, and some of the questions were really hard to answer!  They asked about why I do what I do and what contributes to my branding.  If I’m being honest, I don’t really know… that’s why I’m working on it!  So this is one of my big business goals for 2015: be intentional and authentic in all the choices I’m making!  That means in the way I treat my clients, the way I post on Instagram, and the way my site looks and feels!

Not to worry… there’s a full post of Behind the Scenes coming to the blog soon!

YES! I am in the same boat; from everything to what i blog to how I pose — I just want to slow down and think about all of it instead of rush, rush, rush!

Wife, mama, wielder of light & joy, and capturer of moments.  I thrive off of conversation and genuine connection.  In between wrangling our kiddos, and hanging my husband, you'll find me dreaming up my next idea or creative endeavour.  It's these things that culminate to give my imagery a warmth and joy to them - the greatest compliment I could receive.

I was pretty nervous about being photographed and Lauren made everything fun and flexible. Honestly, I can't imagine the day without her and her team. They were wonderful and hearing from Lauren was always a genuine delight.
