This Next Year Birthdays + Reflecting

First of all, I should start this post off with a major shoutout to my FIL!! Even though he will never read this, his BIRTHDAY is today!!  I couldn’t think of a better person to share my birthday with and I’m so glad we get to celebrate together!  Anyways, today’s post is one full of gratitude.  I am so incredibly grateful for the opportunities that this last year has brought!  New friendships, wonderful clients, fun places to see, were all thrown my way!  Sometimes in the midst of the mundane, it’s hard to remember all the things that you should be grateful for.  It’s hard to remember all the growth that’s happened and the opportunities that have come about.  This year, I’ve traveled to the West Coast twice, walked the streets and served the people of Guatemala, and explored the South East!  I’ve built incredible friendships with some incredible ladies and though we’ve only been friends for a short time, it already feels like we’ve walked through a lifetime together!  There are so many sweet friends that I’m grateful for… grateful for the way that they pour into my life and support me!  Above all else, I’m so grateful for my husband.  He’s my biggest fan and the best support system a girl could ask for!  He serves me so well and without him, I would never be able to have the opportunities that I do!

This next year is already going to be incredible and so full!  I have the privilege of working with some amazing couples this year and I get to document the start to their marriages!  I will be graduating from college in the spring (finally)!  We’re celebrating our second year of marriage and I’m so grateful for that!  The thing I want to focus on the most though this year, is focusing on the beauty of the mundane!  My life doesn’t have to be full of traveling and exploring and shopping to be wonderful!  Really those things might make it just the opposite!  So here’s to the next year!  I can’t wait for all that is to come!

Wife, mama, wielder of light & joy, and capturer of moments.  I thrive off of conversation and genuine connection.  In between wrangling our kiddos, and hanging my husband, you'll find me dreaming up my next idea or creative endeavour.  It's these things that culminate to give my imagery a warmth and joy to them - the greatest compliment I could receive.

THE JOURNAL

Lauren grew up spending her summers at the shore, and when she and Nick got together, she couldn't help but introduce him, too!  Their session in New Jersey was filled with gorgeous light, sweet smiles, and so much love & laughter.

Jersey Shore Engagement

Connor and Alli's wedding celebration was full of lush florals, gorgeous details, and a whole lot of joy.  Their first look was one of the most sacred moments I've witness on a wedding day... filled with so much delight and love!

One of my greatest inspirations comes from exploring and the California coast fulfills that wanderlust like nothing else.  Anytime I have rolling hills and oceanside views, I'm in heaven.

Nate & sofi, baltimore Maryland

She's the ultimate hypewoman. I was pretty nervous about being photographed and Lauren made everything fun and flexible. Honestly, I can't imagine the day without her and her team. They were wonderful and hearing from Lauren was always a genuine delight.
