Ooh, friends you are in for a treat this morning! Today I am sharing Eric & Elizabeth’s sunrise Georgetown engagement session with you.
I’ve been looking forward to this session since Elizabeth first booked me for their Richmond wedding next year. Eric and Elizabeth are some of Brian and Molly’s best friends from college, and you know how much I adore those two. When my other couples that I love so much recommend me to their friends, I always know we’ll be an instant fit! So needless to say, I was excited to spend some time getting to know two people who were bound to be so much fun!
Well, last Saturday, we woke up at 0-dark-thirty to 25 degree temperatures and set off for Georgetown. The perks of such a morning? The only other people we saw along the waterfront were joggers and a few owners walking their dogs. It did make things a little interesting though, and we made sure to keep moving and have lots of coat breaks so no one ended up with frostbite ;)
Mornings like these are just made for extra cozying, don’t you think?
One of my favorite things about engagement sessions like these are the fact that we get to wander around, stop for a few photos, and wander some more. It’s like discovering a place all over again! What made this extra special for Eric & Elizabeth is that along the Georgetown waterfront was the spot where Eric proposed!
As they reminisced it was so cute to watch them interact with one another. I’m always so enamored by couples who just “get” each other. The ones that know what the other is going to say before they even say it. Eric and Elizabeth are like that! They genuinely enjoy spending time together, and its safe to say that it shows! And remembering the night they got engaged? Smiles were all over their faces!
The joy they share when they’re together makes photographing these two a breeze! Laughter is never far away, and I think you’ll agree that Elizabeth has the most radiant smile. She’s going to be such a gorgeous bride!!
Thankful that these two let me third-wheel through Georgetown with them ;) It has me counting down the days ’til next October. If you haven’t caught onto this yet — it’s safe to say that next year is going to be a good year!
