I’ve been hearing about this park from Morgan for what feels like forever, but this session was my first time over to Avalon. These two love to be outdoors, so this spot was the perfect backdrop for Lynden & Katrina’s Patapsco State Park engagement session.
Let me just tell you about Lynden and Katrina for a second. First and foremost, these two met when Katrina moved overseas. In search of a fun cultural experience (which resembled our trip to New Zealand), she set off to live in Australia for a year. Her paths crossed with Lynden at a barbecue and after their first date, they were hooked! They’ve been together ever since!
Fast forward to a trip home to visit his family, when Lynden got down on one knee at Katrina’s favorite beach and asked her to be his wife! … how romantic is that?
Their cliffside proposal was pretty epic, and the location they chose for their Patapsco State Park engagement was almost a miniature, state-side version! They must have a thing for water and rocks paired together! If we couldn’t photograph their session in Australia where he popped the question, I’d say this spot made for a pretty good second best ;)
As you can imagine, these two are just a blast and were up for anything! One thing I love about them when they’re together is that they can make anything fun! Plus, with the trek they made into the water, there was some serious teamwork needed. I kept teasing them that there is marriage counseling involved in engagement sessions!
Needless to say, I could talk about these two for days, but what you need to know is that the night was pretty much perfect! I can’t wait for you to see a few of my favorites below! Enjoy, friends!
