They met and fell in love at Georgetown University. What started off as a budding friendship turned to more, after spending time together as a part of the admissions ambassador program.
I always think its so fun when couples are friends before they start dating – it creates such a great foundation and a special sweetness between them. Matt and Emma are no exception. I don’t know how I get so lucky to photograph such joyful people over and over again, but you won’t find me complaining!
As we toured the grounds of Georgetown University for their engagement session, it was so fun getting to hear all about who they are. On each of their faces a smile was never far away and they both had such a relaxed, assuredness about them. That’s how you know they’re the real deal ;) Of all the wonderful things I could say about Matt and Emma, I must say that they are both incredibly thoughtful. It shown through in the way they talked about each other, their friends, and the questions they asked of me!
Plus, this campus… I swear, Georgetown’s architects set students up for a connection! I mean its just dreamy! Matt & Emma & I joked that it must be that or the fact that they must put subliminal messages in at freshman orientation ;) The world may never know.
To say that I am excited for this sweet couple to get married next spring is an understatement! May will be here before we know it, and I’m not even a tiny bit mad about it! Matt & Emma, thank you for sharing with me some of your favorite spots. I loved getting a front seat tour to the place where you fell in love! I hope you enjoy the way the evening unfolded through my lens as much as I do!
… and I really wasn’t joking when I told y’all you are naturals! I had the hardest time narrowing down my favorites! Alas, enjoy a peek into Matt & Emma’s Georgetown University engagement session! Happy Friday, friends!
PS. I can’t wait to see what the incredible team over at Adriana Marie Events comes up with for these two sweethearts! May at the Winslow Room is going to be gorgeous!
