A little over a week ago, I got to squeeze in one last photo session for 2024. A Fells Point Baltimore engagement session for Mike and Cathy was the perfect ending to an incredible year.
In our first call, Cathy and I were getting to know one another and she shared that she and Mike had their first date at Pitango in Fells Point. If you’re from Baltimore, you know that Fells is one of the most charming neighborhoods in the city. It has a particularly special place in my heart, because it’s where Morgan and I got engaged approximately 1 million years ago.
As we were chatting, I obviously earmarked this locale in my head for planning their engagement session.
Luckily, Mike & Cathy thought that this would make the perfect backdrop, too. They agreed to meet me at the spot where they first met.
I have to say, there’s something inherently special about having a couple spend their engagement session walking you down memory lane.
There’s this hidden joy to it. It’s like getting to watch someone’s story unfold right in front of you.
… but these two? They’re something special.
It’s like they take it up a notch!
Mike and Cathy have this clear adoration for one another. It takes about 3 seconds of looking at them to realize how in love they are. Truly — they made my job so easy, because the laughter you see in their images are all genuine moments. They’re just THAT sweet.
It was a joy to get to know this amazing couple and wonder around one of my favorite parts of town. To say that I am looking forward to seeing what LynnAaron of Nouvelle Weddings dreams up for their celebration in a few months is an understatement.
Until then, enjoy a peek at Mike & Cathy’s Fell’s Point Baltimore Engagement session. xx!

Happy Snow Day, friends!
