I was having a conversation the other day about what a gift it is to have photos. They have this cool way of transporting you back to a unique moment in time… one that will never be repeated exactly. They also have this unique way of cataloging the passing of time.
One of the things that was so fun at Caleb & Sara’s reception is that we got to recreate a photo of Sara and her friends from when they first met in college. Same pose, same people, but at the same time so different! … it made my photographer heart happy!
… though admittedly, there were a lot of things from Caleb & Sara’s Dye House Baltimore wedding that made my heart happy.
Caleb and Sara’s day was perfect from the start. The weather was in the 60s with a wonderful breeze going on. When I arrived at the hotel and greeted them both (separately, of course), they were both so calm and collected. There was such sureness between them.
Their ceremony went off without a hitch and featured some of the most adorable flower girls and ring bearer I have ever met! As they made way for Sara and her dad to make their grand entrance, the trio had everyone smiling!
After a beautiful ceremony, we made our way over to Sherwood Gardens in Hamden to photograph bridal party portraits and couples portraits and the exchanging of their personal vows. It was the perfect spot to capture the fall foliage and we were blessed with ahmazing light!!
Even better? Their bridal party was SO much fun, y’all. I think we spent the whole time laughing away and I love that the people who were surrounding them were just as thrilled for Caleb & Sara as they were. The joy was contagious.
Plus, C&S’s pup showed up and instantly became the star of the show ;)
I could go on and on and dissect every part of this day because I literally loved all of it. What I loved most though was an overwhelming sense of joy and celebration for such a wonderful couple.
Caleb and Sara, I hope these photos help transport you back to one of the happiest days of your lives. May they be a reminder in good times and hard times of just how much y’all adore each other.
Happy Wednesday!
