It’s always funny the first time you meet a couple. As the photographer, because they’ve already looked at your work and your website, they usually know what you look like; but you have no idea what they look like! There have been a few occasions where I literally went up to the wrong couple and asked if they were who I were looking for! Haha!
Well, let me just tell you, if you ever want to avoid said confusion, just plan to meet at sunrise ;)
Last Tuesday, Caleb and Sara met me for their Fell’s Point, Baltimore engagement session at the crack of dawn. The perk? There was no one else in sight! … well except for a few scarce runners that I just looked at in admiration as they sprinted past. Haha!
Engagement sessions are always my favorite because they’re such a great time to get a sense of a couple. You can see their natural tendencies. Do they love to laugh together? Are they more sentimental? It’s in the little nuances and the looks they share when they forget the camera is pointed at them where their personalities really shine through. Well Caleb and Sara are no exception, and it’s safe to say that they are an incredible couple.
I loved getting to spend the morning with these two and watching how they care for each other. You can tell in about two seconds that they love to spend time together.
My favorite part about their session, besides getting to spend time in one of my favorite parts of the city, was our pitstop to a local coffee shop. Pitango Bakery was the cutest backdrop to end our session on. Caleb and Sara got to make a morning date out our time together! Ending our session with laughter between their sips of coffee only felt natural, and I loved every minute of it.
If you need me, I’ll just be over here counting down the days until November until I get to see these two again for their Mt. Washington Mill Dye House wedding.
But until then, grab a peek at some of my favorites from Caleb & Sara’s Fell’s Point, Baltimore engagement session —
