Oh sweet springtime. I don’t know about you, but I needed the fresh buds and blooms more than ever this year!

That’s why I’m so thrilled to share Zack & Jenna’s Bethesda Cherry Blossom engagement session this morning.

Zack and Jenna were one of my couples from last summer that had to reschedule their wedding to this year due to COVID.  We had actually planned out their engagement session last spring to coincide with the Cherry Blossoms blooming along the Tidal Basin… only to have the whole world shut down on us!

The perk of the reschedule? We got to try again for round two!

Unfortunately with the pandemic on-going, the Tidal Basin was extremely limited again and was likely to shut down at any time, so we made a quick audible.  Zack’s sister suggested we check out this cozy little spot in Bethesda and I am so happy we did! It’s gorgeous and a total dream to walk through.

You almost can’t tell that it was only 28 degrees out during our shoot, lol!

Zack and Jenna were serious champs braving the weather to make these images happen.  It was cold but they somehow made it feel cozy! You can tell that that’s the norm between them.  Smiles never seem far off between the two of them, and they spent the whole time laughing and teasing together.  A tell-tale sign of a great couple if you ask me ;)

Spending the morning together only makes me more excited to see them again this July for their upcoming wedding with Rebecca Thomas Events.  It is going to be an incredible celebration for a wonderful couple.  Hurry here, July!! ;)
