Hey there, sweet friend!

If you're new here, I'm Lauren, owner of this little corner of the internet.  I am a creative to the core who is constantly inspired by good light, sweet love stories, pretty little details, exploring new places, and creative projects.  Here you'll find a little exploration of each!

looking for something?

Good morning friends! I hope everyone is enjoying this lovely spring day! If you’re new to the blog, WELCOME! I’m so glad that you’re here.  And now to the point of this post: branding.  Even before I started the design process with Krista, I’ve been working on cultivating my own brand.

Branding, by definition, is the way that your company is perceived by your audience.  Your brand defines everything that you do! Sure, it influences the design process significantly, but it also includes the way that you interact with people via email, social media, and the wording that you use.  For creatives specifically, the images that make up your portfolio and the ones you choose to display should match up with your branding.

So how do I define my branding and what is it for my personal brand? How do I want my clients and the viewers of my blog, Facebook, Instagram, emails, etc. to perceive my business?  Well, I personally think that the best way to define the experience of your brand is by creating three different words that should serve as a point of reference for every interaction you create.  Are y’all still with me?! Clearly this is something that I’ve been researching and processing through a lot!

What are my three branding words? Joyful, romantic, and natural.  These are the types of images that I seek to create.  It’s also the way that I want my clients to feel when they talk to me and experience my work!  Once I defined my brand in this way, I used it as a point of reference to give Krista for the design.  With each pin that I pinned, I thought to myself, does this pin match up with any of my words? If not, it didn’t make the board! So what do you guys think? Did I create a joyful, natural, and romantic experience?  I can’t wait to hear from you!
