Some engagement sessions feel extra special — and this one certainly falls into that category.
Last fall, I had the joy of photographing Jackson and Emily’s engagement portraits in Baltimore, and today I’m so excited to finally share a few of my favorites.
What made this session even more meaningful is that Emily and Jackson aren’t just wonderful clients — they’re sweet friends of ours. Photographing people you love always carries a little extra magic.
“Emwyyy,” as my kids lovingly call her, is one of their favorite people in the whole world. She loves my crew with such genuine joy and enthusiasm, and as a mom, that kind of love for your kids just fills your heart right up. Emily is one of the most sincere, kind, and thoughtful people I know — the kind of person who makes everyone around her feel seen and cared for.
And Jackson? He brings those same qualities to the table. Together, they truly are the dream team.
Watching the way they support each other, laugh together, and simply enjoy being side-by-side made photographing them effortless.
Sessions like this remind me that engagement portraits aren’t just about beautiful images — they’re about capturing the quiet, natural connection between two people who are building a life together.
These two are getting married at the end of the summer, and our whole family is counting down the days until we get to celebrate them. If their wedding day is anything like their engagement session, it’s going to be filled with joy, laughter, and so much love.
Jackson and Emily — we adore you both and cannot wait for the big day.
