Friends, if you’re in need of a escape to the beach, I have just what the doctor ordered! You are going to love this Virginia Beach Anniversary Celebration!
But man… where do I even begin with these two?
When my sweet friend Ali first emailed me about photographing anniversary portraits of she and her husband Chad, I was floored!
Ever since our first trip to Charleston together, I feel like Al and I have realized our kindred spirits ;) From antiquing trips, to shoe recommendations, to phone calls catching up, I love that despite the distance between us, we still get to spend some good quality time together! And while I’ve met Chad before, this was my first time really getting to spend time with the two of them!
Chad grew up in Virginia Beach and if you know anything about these two, you know that they love the beach! Their annual trip to Hawaii makes them experts at all things tropical/ocean-related. So it only made sense to celebrate their anniversary this year at their own little local-ocean-haven! Plus, I’m convinced that Virginia Beach is one of the prettiest beaches so close to Maryland! I’m admittedly smitten with the sand dunes and pretty foliage lining the shoreline!
When Chad and Ali are together, they’re like an unbreakable chain, teamed up in the best ways! They’re similar in the important things, but they also have opposing strengths to hold each other up! (Sometimes even literally… right Chad? ;)) I love that after almost 10 years together, they still have such a fun nature about them. Their life together, while in such sweet rhythm, doesn’t feel boring! Even from our brief time together, I can just tell that they challenge each other in the best ways.
And I think that’s why I’ll always adore photographing not just weddings, but marriages. In my humble opinion, and I think these two would agree, marriage just makes everything sweeter!
So Chad and Ali — thanks for reminding me of why I love my job! I adore you both and I’m so grateful that you invited me in to capture this season of your life! Xoxo!
PS. Still grateful y’all took an early wake-up call just to hang out with me ;)
