Right now, the headlines of the news are booming with details of the protests going on in Kiev, Ukraine. The crazy thing about it is that as I was looking at the intense photographs of the protesters in the capital city, I remembered where they were standing. You see, a few years ago, I had the privilege to be a part of a team that traveled to Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine. Our first stop of the trip though was in Kiev. It’s a surreal moment when you know exactly where those people are and where they are standing because you have been there too. I’m so grateful that I have images from that I could spend the morning reminiscing about. So enjoy a few favorites from my trip. Note: I didn’t take most of these photographs!
