When people ask me about how I got into photography, I have the pleasure of saying I grew up around it. When I was a little girl my grandfather and my uncle ran a photography shop called MotoPhoto. All of us grandkids were constantly in front of the camera and we liked it that way. I remember how intrigued I was by all of the different machines and the way that things worked. I would pay attention to whatever Pop Pop was doing. Did I think I wanted to be a photographer then? No way! I was busy thinking I was going to be a teacher, like my Aunt Lisa.
Little did a know that nearly ten years after he died that I would be following in his footsteps.
Pop Pop, I’m not sure that they have internet in heaven, but if they do, know that I still miss you everyday. I feel so blessed by all the wonderful memories I have of you. Thank you for introducing me to one of the things I love most. Love always, Lauren
So cute Lauren! What a sweet tribute.
Awww this is so sweet! What a great way to always remember him as you follow his footsteps. :)
In 1977, Tandy Radio Shack released the TRS-80. It was not only one of the 1st home computers, but your Pop-Pop brought one of the 1st ones home (complete with a cassette deck for recording & saving data!)
Loving & knowing him like we did…. I have no doubt that he’s online right now…and smiling.
XOXO Aunt Judy
