Today I am thrilled to share with you some of my favorite images from Lee & Georgia’s gorgeous Goodstone Inn wedding.
You may remember Georgia from when she was a bridesmaid in Cory & Gaby’s wedding a few years ago. It is always the biggest compliment to get to work with a former bridesmaid again! It makes me the happiest because when I show up on their wedding day, it already feels like we’re the best of friends!
Lee & Georgia had originally planned to get married in May in Savannah. Obviously with the current status of things, their original plan had to be changed. I was delighted that they invited me to capture their micro-wedding in Middleburg, Virginia, instead.
One of the things that I adore about this couple — they are so laid back and flexible. They have such a wonderful sense of what matters most. It seemed that everything that could’ve been thrown their way, they took with utmost grace.
The day started off with getting ready and portraits at the beautiful Goodstone Inn. The property was gorgeous and even in the rain it made for a spectacular backdrop. We laughed and teased about the fact that the rain would decide to make its appearance as soon as the first look finished and stayed for the duration of portraits. I’d say we made the best of it though!
As soon as that was finished up, we scooted along to Georgia’s sister’s home for their ceremony with their families. It appeared that the rain decided to follow us over and so these two took it in stride again! Umbrellas for their each of their guests and the best man held one for them. It actually made it so much sweeter because as they exchanged vows, there were a few extra tears of joy up front ;)
I have so many favorite moments from this day, but the moments that stand out most were the ones in between. Isn’t that where the most fun is had? From Lauren, her sister, helping Georgia getting dressed with lots of laughter, to the look on Lee’s face when he finally saw her. there where so many wonderful moments, with some of the people that matter most!
