“The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds.”
– Nicholas Sparks
This day, a little over a year ago, was one of my favorite celebrations to date! From the moment I met Joe and Jamie, I knew that they were a special pair. You may remember them from their perfect DC Engagement session last fall.
This DC power couple decided to get married at one of their first date spots that became one of their favorite hideaways outside of the hustle of the city. The Inn at Willow Grove was the perfect space to hold this lovely garden ceremony.
When I arrived, everyone was absolutely thrilled in anticipation of what the day would unfold to be. For a day in May, the weather was perfect and without a rain cloud in sight. As Jamie began to get ready, I could see that all of her hard work in planning this special day was unfolding.
Every detail was planned to a tee, but some of my favorite parts of the day were the ones you could never plan: the way Joe looked at her when he saw her for the first time, the way their flower girl, their sweet pup, watched the ceremony intently, and the joy on their faces as they dined with their friends and family, to name a few.
I can’t believe it’s already been a year since such a special celebration has come and gone, so today I’m celebrating by finally releasing some of my favorite images from the day… I promise, its been worth the wait!
a huge thank you to the incredible team who made joe + jamies’s day so special:
