Since when did September decide that it was okay to switch weather with August?! I was quite happy with this cool summer and then randomly, in the last couple of days, September got confused and thought it was someone else!  September though has always been the start of my favorite time of year… autumn!  I can’t wait to wear boots and jeans and sweaters and watch the leaves change their colors.  I also love the way the cool brisk air feels when you’re going on a walk.  Plus, who could forget the first time of the season where it feels appropriate to drink hot chocolate?!  I love autumn and I’m happy to welcome it in at the end of this month!  Speaking of this month, let’s see what’s on the calendar:

Business:

• I have three senior shoots, an engagement shoot, and two weddings this month!  My weekends are quite full and so I can’t wait to see all of the fun that comes with these shoots!
• My sample albums are here and they look fantastic!! I can’t wait to show them to you!!
• Speaking of sample albums, I can’t wait to start bringing them along to client meetings!  I have quite a few on the calendar this month… YAY!

Personal: 

• My sweet friend, Katie, is coming to the East Coast this month and I can’t wait to spend some time with her!! I can’t believe it’s been more than six months since I’ve seen her!  This visit it long overdue (:
• This month, Morgan starts his new job at the Fire Department!  I’m so proud of him and I can’t wait to go to the family night!
• In addition to school starting up, the small group I led on Wednesday nights for Middle School girls started last night!  It’s going to be a fun year with a fun group!

Goals + Dreams for August:

Business Goals:

• Shoot my weddings and senior sessions well (Check!)
• Create a blogging calendar and stick to it (Check!)
• Write more posts from the heart (Check-ish, I could’ve written a few more, but stay tuned for tomorrow’s post!)
• Save up to purchase a new lens (this might go into next month’s too!) [Check!!! I’m ordering TODAY!]

Personal Goals:

• Eat healthy.  This seems to often be on the list, but really, it needs to happen! (Eh, I usually do well at the beginning of the month!)
• Stick to the chore list that Morgan and I made together (Check!)
• Use social media less (Check-ish)

• Take new headshots… mine are quite out-dated!
• Keep taking time to be creative and shoot things that inspire me– this helps me to best serve my clients!
• Organize my new planner to help me stay on top of things!

Personal Goals:

• Eat healthy
• Exercise more with Morgan
• Say no so that I can say yes!
• Stick to my chores list even with school going on!
