Today on the blog, I am thrilled to be sharing part one of our travel pics from Lake Como, Italy!
After spending a few days in Switzerland, we rented a car, hopped in, and were on our way to Lake Como, Italy! I’ll be sharing more of Switzerland next week – not to worry! We drove to our cute little Air BnB and met our host Paulo in Bellano. After checking in, we set off to explore, eat some gelato, and get our bearings.
One thing that should be noted before we go any further is that while pretty, Bellano is not a super touristy area of Lake Como. That has its own set of perks and pits to it. Perk – a local (and delicious) street market. Pit – no one speaks any English. Ask us about our attempt to understand the guy selling ferry tickets… it was a real hoot!
Anyways, from our home base in Bellano, we explored a few of the nearby towns – Varenna and Bellagio. You’ll get to see some snippets of all three in this post as well as a few of the highlights along the way.
Buckle up, because this post is full of beautiful doors, lake views, and a few highlights from each location we explored on Lake Como!
