Where do I even begin this post? Well ya know that song “Let me tell ya ’bout my besssst friendsssss,” that’s where this should start.  You see, Alissa is one of my dearest friends and she asked me to capture their sweet family as it grows (soon) once they bring their babe home.  As it goes, when your friend sends a picture of the amazing dress she is wearing for that shoot, you force her to do a maternity session, too, with her husband at Soldier’s Delight (a location I’ve been dying to explore)!

So we met the day after Memorial Day and explored the gorgeous Soldier’s Delight grounds – a true haven tucked outside of Baltimore’s suburbs.

 

As we walked around, I couldn’t help but think about how special our time together was.  Justin and Alissa kept telling me that the last time that they had pictures of the two of them was at their wedding.  They also insisted that they weren’t going to be any good at this whole “picture taking thing,” but I think you’ll see that their point was quite void.  You can all join me in a unanimous eye roll, here. These two have shared a lot of life together, and as they get ready to add another family member, there’s such excitement! It was a joy to capture this season for them!

Plus, here is when I get to place my official vote in for the gender of the babe – I’m guessing a little boy will be joining them soon! Though of course, he’ll probably make his grand entrance a little early, while I’m in Europe, since that’s usually how that goes.  And in case you’re wondering about any hidden talents I might have – here’s one – I’m 28 for 30 in guessing genders of babies correctly… so little man, I can’t wait to meet you ;)
