If you’ve followed along with me on Instagram lately, you’ve known that this week was going to be a great week on the blog! Well, this Lake Shore, Maryland Anniversary Celebration is no exception!

And boy, are you are in for a treat with this one!

Thanks to a perfectly sunny evening, the best outfit choices and one amazing couple, this is a new favorite…  Last week, I headed to Lake Shore, Maryland to spend the evening with my friend Natalie, to catch up, and to photograph some new headshots.  This also meant that we got to squeeze in a mini-anniversary session for she and Huey, too! I was super honored she asked me to photograph this season for them, especially since Natalie is an amazing photographer herself! (No pressure ;))

These two just celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary, and many more years together aside from that.  It made perfect sense to shoot at the beautiful location where they got married – Huey’s family’s home!  After convincing Huey that we would just take a “few” photos with him, we set off into what turned into a mini-session, and I’m so glad that it did! Thanks Huey, for being such a good sport!

Everything about the evening turned out to be perfect – I mean the light was insane, especially after weeks of Maryland having rainy, dreary, days.  Our perfect weather was certainly threatened when just before we started shooting, it poured like it only does in the summertime.  Before long, the clouds were gone and the most lovely golden light peaked out.  If that’s not a picture of what marriage can be like sometimes, I don’t know what is!

At any rate, I’ve blabbed on about these two for far too long, and I’ll let you just take a gander at them instead! Huey & Natalie are so sweet together, and I couldn’t have loved our time together more.
