Good morning sweet friends! I have to be totally honest with you… I skipped writing last week’s MM-U because I was so upset that I couldn’t write about a Raven’s win.  I almost did the same thing today because I CANNOT BELIEVE that we lost to the Oakland Raiders, but I decided to cheer myself up this morning and spend some time this morning foraging the back yard (and my mother-in-law’s dahlias) to create a gorgeous floral piece instead.  So those are the photos you’ll see! They have nothing to do with anything that happened this weekend, but that’s okay!

This weekend’s happenings:

• Friday Night, Morgan and I spent time at his firehouse preparing his rookie dinner.  It’s a tradition in the fire department that as a thank you for all of the help the shift has given you through your probationary period, that you cook a dinner for everyone! Morgan chose to do chicken and steak kabobs paired with cilantro rice and fresh farmer’s market veggies.  Plus, there was some homemade ice cream for dessert! YUM!
• This Saturday was my last weekend off for the next three weeks (woo!) and so I spent most of the day tidying things up and doing housework.  
• Sunday we had some friends over for football.  Again, I don’t want to talk about it!
