Monday’s Mash-up

This weekend was one for the books and for me it started on Thursday!  The sweet family I used to nanny for went from a family of four to a family of five this weekend and I am so excited about it!  I had the girls from Thursday night until Sunday afternoon and they are such a blast!  I’ll share more about the first time they met their little brother tomorrow on the blog, but for now here’s a few things that transpired over the weekend:

  • I had my first soft shell crab this weekend in the form of a BLT with my friends Natalie and Caroline.  The only thing that could have been better is if I had added some avocado to it like my sweet friend Caroline did! (Is anyone else singing Sweet Caroline in their head? I most certainly am!)
  • There are two Starbucks in the Annapolis mall that are extremely close to one another yet can be confused when you’re trying to meet someone… sorry Tamara!
  • A perfect day in the life of a five year equates to something like this:  Meeting her new baby brother + Ice Cream + Chalking her hair + Going to church = A Perfect Day
  • If you take a three year old to the park, they just might refer to everyone as “that little child ova theree!”

I’m sure I have lots of other things from this weekend to share but I can’t quite remember them at the moment!  For now enjoy this little list!  What did you spend your weekend doing?? I’d love to hear about it!!  Oh, and enjoy a peek at this family of four before they became a family of five!!!

Wife, mama, wielder of light & joy, and capturer of moments.  I thrive off of conversation and genuine connection.  In between wrangling our kiddos, and hanging my husband, you'll find me dreaming up my next idea or creative endeavour.  It's these things that culminate to give my imagery a warmth and joy to them - the greatest compliment I could receive.

THE JOURNAL

Lauren grew up spending her summers at the shore, and when she and Nick got together, she couldn't help but introduce him, too!  Their session in New Jersey was filled with gorgeous light, sweet smiles, and so much love & laughter.

Connor and Alli's wedding celebration was full of lush florals, gorgeous details, and a whole lot of joy.  Their first look was one of the most sacred moments I've witness on a wedding day... filled with so much delight and love!

One of my greatest inspirations comes from exploring and the California coast fulfills that wanderlust like nothing else.  Anytime I have rolling hills and oceanside views, I'm in heaven.

Nate & sofi, baltimore Maryland

She's the ultimate hypewoman. I was pretty nervous about being photographed and Lauren made everything fun and flexible. Honestly, I can't imagine the day without her and her team. They were wonderful and hearing from Lauren was always a genuine delight.
