Where can I even begin with this gorgeous Washington DC Wedding?
Everything about Andrew and Robin‘s relationship is filled with such delight, and their wedding day was no exception. These two met, fell in love, and got engaged in Washington DC. So when they first got in contacted me, they had one request… Wedding portraits in downtown Washington DC – their city! With such a gorgeous backdrop, you know that I was thrilled to oblige!
And so the day began in Washington DC, with portraits at the Jefferson and then on we caravanned to Virginia for their ceremony.
However, before we scooted off, Andrew and Robin shared their first look on the rooftop of the hotel where the girls got ready. It was such a special moment and I won’t forget the look on Andrew’s face! Pure awe at how beautiful his bride looked. At one point he said sweetly, “I just want to keep looking at you!” And who could blame him? Robin looked stunning!
By far, my favorite part about Andrew and Robin’s wedding was how incredibly personalized it was to them and their guests. They scheduled the day so that no one felt rushed, but rather they could soak it all in! At every turn they asked how they could honor their guests, and they even thanked each guest at their book-inspired reception with a gift. A bookmark that read “Thank you for the mark you’ve made” sat at each plate!
It was a true celebration, with no one left out, and folks, I don’t know what gets better than that.
I hope you enjoy a peek at some of the highlights of the day. To say it was tricky to narrow these down is an understatement!
