An Intimate Private Home Winter Wedding – Jason & Brittany

When Christie from Grit and Grace, Inc. first introduced me to this couple and what they had planned for their intimate private home winter wedding in Virginia, I knew it was going to be incredible.

As I arrived the morning of the wedding, Brittany’s parents greeted me to say hello.  I instantly felt welcomed into this wonderful family — an apparent speciality of theirs.  Brittany and Jason were the same way.  They were each equal parts excited and warm… something that makes my job of capturing genuine moments simple!

A celebration of two people as special as these two was bound to be special, but my favorite part was that this celebration was not only theirs as husband and wife, but the beginning of the blending of their families.

As Brittany made her way down the aisle, she was escorted by both her father and her son, with Jason awaiting with his girls.  While B&J both made vows to each other, they also made vows to their kids, and I’m not sure there was a dry eye in the house.  To see all five of them process up the aisle — it was something special.

Because of the restrictions at the time, we as vendors had to depart before the reception could begin, but I have no doubt that it was filled with endless toasts and celebration over an incredible couple.

Plus, Sweet Root Village and Grit & Grace worked to make an absolutely epic transformation for the ceremony and reception spaces.  They make it look easy, and oh so beautiful.

This day was truly a delight to be a part of and I’m so excited to share the tiniest peek of Jason and Brittany’s wedding in Virginia.

Wife, mama, wielder of light & joy, and capturer of moments.  I thrive off of conversation and genuine connection.  In between wrangling our kiddos, and hanging my husband, you'll find me dreaming up my next idea or creative endeavour.  It's these things that culminate to give my imagery a warmth and joy to them - the greatest compliment I could receive.

Lauren grew up spending her summers at the shore, and when she and Nick got together, she couldn't help but introduce him, too!  Their session in New Jersey was filled with gorgeous light, sweet smiles, and so much love & laughter.

Connor and Alli's wedding celebration was full of lush florals, gorgeous details, and a whole lot of joy.  Their first look was one of the most sacred moments I've witness on a wedding day... filled with so much delight and love!

She's the ultimate hypewoman. I was pretty nervous about being photographed and Lauren made everything fun and flexible. Honestly, I can't imagine the day without her and her team. They were wonderful and hearing from Lauren was always a genuine delight.
