She’s turning into a big girl right in front of our eyes, and I swear I have to stop blinking.
This stage of life is equal parts sweetness while full of challenge, too!
She finished her first time at preschool and loved it. It’s so fun watching her learn new skills, and listening to her accounts of how it all happened, and who she chose to show kindness to.
One of my favorite things she’s doing right now is, if I’m correcting her brother, she’ll immediately say, “mom, it wasn’t me!” I guess those days of soothing her with rap music as a baby are catching up and we listened to Shaggy a time or two too many 😂
She has the cutest head nod I’ve ever seen, when you agree with her… I mean, I just can’t help but laugh! She thrives being a helper — especially when she “helped” arrange grandma’s birthday flowers.
Watching her learn about the world and other people is *almost* always amazing (except for when she goes from asking a hard question, to not listening to the response I worked a little *too* hard to think through, interrupting with “MOM, did you see that bird!?” instead!)
I love the way she “inks” instead of winks. I love that she insists on “famllly hugs.” I love her messy bed-head and her love of dresses. I love the way she tackle-hugs her brother and makes him giggle uncontrollably.

Today is my favorite person’s birthday day.

One of my favorite things about Morgan is that he shows up in big ways and small ways. Almost *every* time he comes home, he always texts and asks if I need anything on his way. For most (and especially for me) making that offer and accepting it would be both incredibly irritating and inconvenient. Morgan does so gladly! It’s one of the little ways he shows up for our family and serves unconditionally. He is steady, honest, serves well, and is the best dad and partner.

This morning’s weather was also the perfect indicator of this time of year. When hot meets cold and you’re stuck in between the end of summer and beginning of fall.

To me, it’s the perfect in between… because I’m not quite ready to let go of summer just yet, but am also so excited for all this fall/winter will bring 🤍✨
Spent the weekend away from this crew working… it’s so fun to be a part of such beautiful, joyful wedding days, but it makes me extra happy to be greeted by these three when I come home!
Can’t believe we’ll soon add another crazy to our crew 🤍 She’ll be here before we know it!!
Until then, if you need me, I’ll be grinding out all the sessions, weddings, and nesting projects my little heart desires 😂🙈

This photo is a pretty good depiction of our life right now — Morgan juggling it all and somehow managing to smile through it!
I hurt my back and have been out of commission the last few days… and he’s been holding down the fort, even when it meant rearranging his schedule and canceling a trip he’s been looking forward to! The way he serves our family isn’t always highlighted the way it deserves to be, so I had to give a little shout out!

So, today I decided I couldn’t wait to share the sweet maternity pics @reneehphoto created for us 😍 I almost didn’t do them this go around, but I’m so glad we did! This pregnancy has flown by in so many ways and I’m so grateful to have this season of our lives document (especially so beautifully and *not* via my remote control, lol!)
