Hello March Goals + Dreams

California Girl's Roadtrip along Pacific Coast Highway

Yay!!  March is here and I couldn’t be more excited about it.  March means the beginning of springtime and after the amount of snow and ice we’ve had lately, I cannot wait for that!!  There is so much going on in March that I can’t even believe it!  My calendar is full and I am so excited about it.

At a glance:

  • Morgan finally graduates from the fire academy this month!! I cannot wait and I am so excited and proud of him!!
  • Weekend 180- this is an event that Morgan and I serve at every year.  We lead small groups of both middle school and high school students and I cannot wait!
  • I have a trip with some sweet friends scheduled for this month in Charleston too.  I cannot wait to get some time to refresh before wedding season officially kicks off.

Business Goals for February:

  • Order more mailing supplies!  I’m almost out and I didn’t realize it until I had a few notes to send out! Oops! (CHECK!)
  • Finalize all the details for our shoot! (CHECK!)
  • Make sure that I’m continuing to blog consistently despite school getting in the way! (CHECK!)

Personal for February:

  • Work towards eating healthier.  The holidays really threw me off in terms of eating well so I really need to get back into the routine of eating healthy! (I’m getting better, though I definitely could still use improvement!)
  • Spend more time exercising and make it a priority! (Again, this is in progress, I just need to keep up with it!)
  • Also, making quiet time a priority… when I get busy, it’s usually the first to go.  Which ends up being ironic because that’s when I need it most! (Check!)
  • Make sure I’m staying on top of all of my school work!  I’m taking seven classes to make sure that I graduate on time and so it ends up involving a heavy workload for now! (Check!)

Business Goals for March:

  • I have a pile of mail to clients that needs to get out! This is definitely on the list of things to do!
  • Create more tools for other photographers to use.
  • Blog more 4-5 times per week.  Last week I blogged only three times and it’s dwelling a bit on my conscience! Ah!
  • Make progress in the rebrand!
  • Take steps towards launching a new part of my business.

Personal Goals for March:

  • Discipline: this is my word for the month.  “Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline,” Proverbs 1:7.  I don’t know about you, but I want to be wise not a fool.  This word applies to my eating and exercise habits as well as my quiet time.
  • Get to work on a personal project that has been in the works and will continue to be for a while.  I may announce a model call for it soon, so stay tuned for that!

Wife, mama, wielder of light & joy, and capturer of moments.  I thrive off of conversation and genuine connection.  In between wrangling our kiddos, and hanging my husband, you'll find me dreaming up my next idea or creative endeavour.  It's these things that culminate to give my imagery a warmth and joy to them - the greatest compliment I could receive.

THE JOURNAL

Lauren grew up spending her summers at the shore, and when she and Nick got together, she couldn't help but introduce him, too!  Their session in New Jersey was filled with gorgeous light, sweet smiles, and so much love & laughter.

Connor and Alli's wedding celebration was full of lush florals, gorgeous details, and a whole lot of joy.  Their first look was one of the most sacred moments I've witness on a wedding day... filled with so much delight and love!

Nate & sofi, baltimore Maryland

She's the ultimate hypewoman. I was pretty nervous about being photographed and Lauren made everything fun and flexible. Honestly, I can't imagine the day without her and her team. They were wonderful and hearing from Lauren was always a genuine delight.
