The other day, a dear friend of mine asked me to define what success means to me. According to Webster, it’s “the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.” This got me thinking… often when we think of success, we think of our businesses! While I do define my success within my business, it’s not the only place. I gain “success” every time that I love people well. When my couples have a fun and natural experience, I’ve succeeded. When I’ve loved my husband well, that’s succeeding. When I’ve loved my friends well, I’ve succeeded! For me, my definition of success is bigger than it all: every time I’ve accomplished loving well, I’ve succeeded.
So that leads me to this… how do you define your success? I know that its easy for me to get caught up in the world’s standard of success, but every day I am trying to take extra steps to keep my own definition of success in my head, and to make it my mantra for the day. How can I help you to challenge your rate of success?
