The day is finally here.  We’ve been waiting for six months.  I’ve watched you wash your uniform, pack your lunch, and get to bed early every night for 180 days.  You’ve studied your behind off and worked so incredibly hard on every part of this process… not that I expected anything different from you.  You’ve taken test after test and passed with flying colors.  I am so incredibly proud of all that you’ve accomplished.  Today’s the day that I get to watch you walk across the stage and be sworn in as an official firefighter.  After months of waiting, the day is finally here and I couldn’t be more excited for you!!
