Oh friends, are you in for a treat with this US Naval Academy engagement session!

I remember pulling into the house where Emily was getting ready, only to be greeted by the sweetest bridesmaids. … You know the type!  The girls who will do anything to make sure that the bride has all that she needs and enjoys her day!  Well one of those incredible bridesmaids was Carrie!

She was such a sweetheart and we stayed in touch via Facebook all of these years! Imagine my delight when I saw that Matt proposed and they were getting married! I just knew that Matt had to be one special guy to nab her up!  When the email came into my inbox asking me to be their wedding photographer, I couldn’t be more excited!!

Fast forward to last week when I got to officially meet Matt — gosh he is a great guy! He loves Carrie so well and you can tell that after hanging out with the pair for all of two minutes.  The whole session was spent laughing and having fun together.  Oh, and did I mention it was about 20 degrees out, too?!

One of my favorite parts about their session was that it doubled as a tour of the yard.  You see, Matt and Carrie are both in the Navy, but the Academy is a place Carrie called home for four years.  Matt and I got to hear all about her favorite places to go, the memories that were meaningful to her… And the whole time, Matt just looked at her lovingly!  He valued every memory that she shared rather than simply nodding along.  I told you he’s great ;)

I seriously can’t say enough good things about these guys! Basically they’re just the greatest!! But before I keep gushing all over you, I’ll just show you the pictures instead ;)
