My Traveling Arsenal Tips + Tricks | For Photographers

Josh-Elizabeth-Wed_0097-1024x691

Hi sweet friends!  I’ve had a few photographer’s reach out to me and about what I use to photograph when I’m traveling and so I thought that before I share all of my gorgeous California landscapes and shoots with you, I would do a “what’s in my bag” travel edition!  Keep in mind, I’m not an expert by any means, but on this trip these are the things that have worked best for me!

In general, I shoot a ton with my 85mm and my 35mm so those are musts!  I also traveled with my Ona bag which is the bomb.com for travel… It holds all of my equipment plus my computer and its charging card… For the record, my bag was definitely ready to overflow a little bit, but that’s totally okay.  It held up quite well!

So here’s a complete list of what I had in my bag at it’s maximum filled time:

Nikon D700

85mm 1.8

35mm 1.4

50 mm 1.4

4 Rolls Ektar Kodak Film

35mm film camera + 50mm 1.4 lens

MacBook Pro + Charger

Pelican Memory Card Case

Extra batteries

Happy Tuesday, friends! I can’t wait to share more with you!

Wife, mama, wielder of light & joy, and capturer of moments.  I thrive off of conversation and genuine connection.  In between wrangling our kiddos, and hanging my husband, you'll find me dreaming up my next idea or creative endeavour.  It's these things that culminate to give my imagery a warmth and joy to them - the greatest compliment I could receive.

THE JOURNAL

Lauren grew up spending her summers at the shore, and when she and Nick got together, she couldn't help but introduce him, too!  Their session in New Jersey was filled with gorgeous light, sweet smiles, and so much love & laughter.

Connor and Alli's wedding celebration was full of lush florals, gorgeous details, and a whole lot of joy.  Their first look was one of the most sacred moments I've witness on a wedding day... filled with so much delight and love!

One of my greatest inspirations comes from exploring and the California coast fulfills that wanderlust like nothing else.  Anytime I have rolling hills and oceanside views, I'm in heaven.

Nate & sofi, baltimore Maryland

She's the ultimate hypewoman. I was pretty nervous about being photographed and Lauren made everything fun and flexible. Honestly, I can't imagine the day without her and her team. They were wonderful and hearing from Lauren was always a genuine delight.
