Surprisingly, MLK day is one of my favorite days of the year. For whatever reason its a day that challenges me to go deeper, to love more, appreciate more, and to just be grateful. Today I’m incredibly grateful to live in a country that honors men that speak such brilliance. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is one of the wisest men in our history, and I’m so grateful for a day in which we all think a little more about that words he said and the legacy he left.
On a different note, here’s a peek at this weekend’s Mash-up:
- I’ve decided that dessert make weekends awesome. Have y’all ever had the chocolate chip cookie skillet from Chili’s!? I split one with the newlyweds and Morgan on Saturday, and boy, that bad boy never disappoints!
- Yesterday we had the honor and privilege of celebrating sweet little Rhett and his mama, arriving in April! Rhett is already so well loved and I can’t wait to meet him!!
- There’s something to be said for good conversation with special people. Conversations can either fill us up or tear us down, but when it’s life-giving, it’s best of all.
- Despite being in warm California last week, I’ve adjusted back to the weather quite nicely, and I’m not going to lie, while I was there I missed my plaid a little bit!
What about you? How did you spend your weekend??
I love that quote. sounds like you had a great weekend – I mean, anything topped with a choc chip cookie skillet has to be amazing, right!?
Great quote!
(and I’ve never been to Chilli’s, might have to try it now!)
