Little known fact: when your friends and family are chucking giant marshmellows at you, it actually hurts!!  When we were thinking about what we wanted people to throw as we exited our reception, I knew I wanted something that was going to look awesome in pictures!  I know… hard to believe coming from a photographer, right?! Anyways, after photographing Megan and David’s exit, I knew that I wanted something similar, but of course wanted it to be my own.

Enter: giant marshmellows.  When we first thought it through, we were going to use the regular size marshmellows made for making s’mores, until we found the giant ones!  The idea was great.  The pictures look awesome.  However, I did take a hit right to the face and I thought I was going to have a fat lip for the duration of our honeymoon… thanks for that, JD! Anyways, this post is a challenge for you to think creatively about your exit from your reception… because it’s fun!  Plus, if you use giant marshmellows, maybe a marshmellow war will then proceed to break out!!

Happy Thursday!!

Wife, mama, wielder of light & joy, and capturer of moments.  I thrive off of conversation and genuine connection.  In between wrangling our kiddos, and hanging my husband, you'll find me dreaming up my next idea or creative endeavour.  It's these things that culminate to give my imagery a warmth and joy to them - the greatest compliment I could receive.

I was pretty nervous about being photographed and Lauren made everything fun and flexible. Honestly, I can't imagine the day without her and her team. They were wonderful and hearing from Lauren was always a genuine delight.
