When Emily first reached out to me, I loved getting to hear about she and Braedon and how they met. We talked all about what was important to the two of them about their wedding day, and looking back on that first conversation, I’d say their important things were met!
From the start she told me about how they wanted to celebrate in their church and let their guests have a fun time! (Check and check!)
Braedon and Emily met in Catholic school and their faith is so important to them. It only made sense to have their ceremony take place at a gorgeous local church surrounded by their family and friends. It was a beautiful service and the perfect place to begin their married life!
From the ceremony we made our way to Rock Creek Farm to celebrate! It was the perfect backdrop for their Gettysburg barn wedding. Inside the barn was a representation of so much hard work by two extraordinary families. This wedding was truly a family affair —
- Emily was responsible for creating the invitations, she’s an amazing graphic artist!, and all of the calligraphy you see!
- The linens? All, handmade by Emily’s sweet mama!
- Braedon’s aunt not only arranged, but grew the gorgeous flowers you see all around! I was in dahlia heaven!
Emily’s dad made a joke about all of the “projects” leading up to the day, but truthfully, everyone just wanted it to be perfect. And it was!
There are lots of little moments I love about this day, but by far one of my favorites was getting to pull Braedon and Emily out for sunset. The light was beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but I love to give couples a chance to just slow down and soak in their day. It’s my hope that when they see those photos, they can relive that feeling all over again.
I could actual go on and on about this couple for a long time! They are sweet and kind and a perfect balance for one another. Emily was a gorgeous bride, and I had so much fun photographing that epic train! Braedon can be a more reserved guy, but even he couldn’t hide his happiness for this day ;) … I’ll let you see!!
