Yesterday, a friend, Mary, posted something talking about how strong women cheer for and surround themselves with other strong women.  This couldn’t have come at a more perfect time, because the past two days for me were spent gaining inspiration from and refreshing with some amazing women.  So easily, I think the world encourages competition.  I could have looked at the women surrounding me and started the comparison game.. oh well she’s been more places than me, she photographs more weddings than me, she’s more talented than me, or I could choose to just relish in the community and friendship that we’re all called to.

The thing is, that the real connection that keeps our little group together has absolutely nothing to do with photography, we just happen to all be photographers!  If you’re out there and you’re finding yourself constantly playing the comparison game or wishing for more, I challenge you to surround yourself with a community that reminds you to keep your priorities straight, and to put down the computer to float in the spring for a bit!  Happy Thursday, friends!
