Welcome to the week of C’s! I have so much to share with you all from my trip to Guatemala that I couldn’t possibly fit it into one post. Instead, I’ve dedicated this week on the blog to share pieces of our trip! First up is the “casa.” For those of you who didn’t pay attention in high school Spanish class, casa means house! Our purpose for the trip was to build a house for a family that didn’t have one.
This house was built alongside an organization called Casas Por Cristo. It’s an incredible organization that connects people in the community with the local church and then provides a house for them. It’s AMAZING! They’re based in both Guatemala and Mexico and they do an incredible job.
One of my favorite parts about the building the house was seeing the family’s reaction when we dedicated the home. The gratitude they expressed was overwhelming. Enjoy a peek into our first part of our trip!
