At the most recent wedding I shot, I absolutely adored the style of the bridesmaid’s dresses.  Each bridesmaid was allowed to pick their own style of dress from the J. Crew collection in the color that the bride picked.  Not only am I a huge fan of having different style dresses, but I absolutely adore the way these bridesmaids chose to accessorize their dresses with fun necklaces!  Seeing this got me thinking about some tips for styling your bridesmaids for your big day!

When I was a bridesmaid in my sweet friend Morgan’s wedding, I was so excited to get to pick out my own dress just in the color that she picked.  It’s also awesome that she let us all choose because then she didn’t have to think about picking a dress that would look flattering on all of her bridesmaids!

If you’ve found a dress that looks absolutely stunning on everyone, then by all means pick it!  I think it would be super fun though if the bridesmaids got to pick either their own shoes or jewelry to match!  At my wedding, all the girls wore the same dresses, but got to pick their shoes and jewelry.  At my wedding, I found a great dress that worked perfectly for all the bridesmaids, and so I let them accessorize it the way that they wanted! Three of the girls wore belts and each of them wore different shoes!  They also got to choose the way that they wanted to do their hair, even though it seems they all picked almost the same way! Haha!
