This post may be super boring and if you think it is… well… sorry about that! Check back tomorrow anyways, haha!  I have to admit that I was having a really hard time when I first started my business finding the words, inspiration, and even content to blog!  It was something of a chore to me at that time that I felt like I had to do in order to keep up with the industry and to create an audience for my work.  Because of this though, I never really took it and made it my own.

Lately, I’ve really LOVED blogging about, well, everything!  I think it’s such a fun way to remember not only how I’ve grown in my work but also in life.  Blogging consistently has become a part of my routine and now its a lot more fun!  If you’re a blogger struggling, I think that the best thing that I did for my blog was to create mini-series (or not so mini-series, Wedding Wednesdays anyone?) that are platforms for you to be creative.  I adore Wedding Wednesdays because it’s a platform for me to educate my brides about things they might want to think about when planning their big day!  Making Pinterest Happen isn’t usually (or ever) really photography related, but it’s a series about creating things that inspire me, whether thats in decorating, fashion, or cooking.

Lastly, if you find yourself really just struggling to blog, maybe it’s not even that you don’t have content, maybe it’s because you are really hating your blog design or it’s not functioning effectively for you.  I’m a firm believer that pretty things surrounding you make working so much more enjoyable… your blog is no exception!

If you’re a blogger what’s the thing thats keeping you from blogging consistently? If you’re not a blogger, what keeps you coming back to the same blog over and over again?  I’d love to hear from you!

Wife, mama, wielder of light & joy, and capturer of moments.  I thrive off of conversation and genuine connection.  In between wrangling our kiddos, and hanging my husband, you'll find me dreaming up my next idea or creative endeavour.  It's these things that culminate to give my imagery a warmth and joy to them - the greatest compliment I could receive.

I was pretty nervous about being photographed and Lauren made everything fun and flexible. Honestly, I can't imagine the day without her and her team. They were wonderful and hearing from Lauren was always a genuine delight.
