This is officially the first weekend I’ve been home the whole weekend with Morgan since… August?  I have been so incredibly blessed to have such amazing shoots and weddings this year, but I have to admit, it was nice to spend a Saturday with my husband!  This weekend was still packed full of fabulous shoots and I can’t wait to share more with you on the blog later this week!!  Oh and in case you are wondering what I’ll be up to today, I am busy capturing and working the behind-the-scenes of my sweet friends’ Krista and Natalie’s workshop!  It’s going to be an incredible treat for all of the sweet attendees!  Oh, and make sure you follow along on Instagram, with the hashtag #baysideworkshop, for all the fun!!

As for the weekend, here’s the recap and lessons learned:

  • Friday night was spent with a super fun couple, Darren + Kelly.  These two will be on the blog tomorrow, so make sure you tune in for their fun session in Old Town Alexandria.
  • Speaking of Alexandria, how have I never been there before?!? If it wasn’t so cold I could have explored and shot their for hours!! All of you Northern Virginia peeps that get to shoot their often… I’m a little jealous!
  • One thing I don’t love is getting stuck in traffic for an hour and half, but I will admit, I’m slowly getting a little more calm with bad traffic situations! Phew!
  • Saturday morning was spent with our sweet friends Adam + Brooke!! We shoot some super cute anniversary pictures and then grabbed breakfast at Miss Shirley’s! So good!
  • Cinnamon Danish Pancakes with Cream Cheese Icing drizzle… AMAZING!!! (and your welcome for creating that craving for you)
  • Sunday was the anniversary of engagement… It’s hard to believe Morgan proposed two years ago already!  Time seems to fly these days but at the same time stand still.
  • I should probably be better at remembering our wedding anniversary than our engagement-versary, but stuff happens!

Wife, mama, wielder of light & joy, and capturer of moments.  I thrive off of conversation and genuine connection.  In between wrangling our kiddos, and hanging my husband, you'll find me dreaming up my next idea or creative endeavour.  It's these things that culminate to give my imagery a warmth and joy to them - the greatest compliment I could receive.

THE JOURNAL

Lauren grew up spending her summers at the shore, and when she and Nick got together, she couldn't help but introduce him, too!  Their session in New Jersey was filled with gorgeous light, sweet smiles, and so much love & laughter.

Connor and Alli's wedding celebration was full of lush florals, gorgeous details, and a whole lot of joy.  Their first look was one of the most sacred moments I've witness on a wedding day... filled with so much delight and love!

One of my greatest inspirations comes from exploring and the California coast fulfills that wanderlust like nothing else.  Anytime I have rolling hills and oceanside views, I'm in heaven.

She's the ultimate hypewoman. I was pretty nervous about being photographed and Lauren made everything fun and flexible. Honestly, I can't imagine the day without her and her team. They were wonderful and hearing from Lauren was always a genuine delight.
